Skateboards & Sticks / NOVEMBER 12 2008 "The stick, the baby doll and the skateboard are the latest inductees into the National Toy Hall of Fame.Strong National Museum of Play inducted the latest members Thursday. All three toys were honored for their role in America's youth." I guess all the good toys have already been inducted, What is funny they didn't find some old rollerskate milkcrate skate, they had Tony Hawk donate one of his new decks, with a fresh jeep sticker slapped on the bottom. Resource Guide / NOVEMBER 07 2008 The 2009 Resource Guide is Back in Full Effect, and not a minute too late. Next weekend is the Kickoff of the 2009 Snowboard season, Waterville Valley is hosting the Rome Pre-Jib Contest & EB/Rome Movie night, (look right for all the info). The Events List is growing everyday, as dates are ocked in we'll keep adding to it. Sunday River and Killington are open (as of 11/7/08), and supposedly offering TOP2BOTTOM shredding, for all the northeast resort links check our Resort Guide. There is a fun party at the Commander's Compound All week. So Basically, "its on like Donkey Kong" But back to the Resource Guide.... You can find anything you need to get on the hill, setup your snowboard and get it dialed. Don't be one of those people that screw it all together and never adjust anything. That's right -- Sunday River is the first ski resort to open in the Northeast for the 08/09 Winter Season. The Locke Mountain Triple ran this afternoon and T2 opened for skiing and riding. SNOW

EB Movie Update / NOVEMBER 01 2008 Snowboarder posted some really sick behind the scenes photos from the Eastern Boarder Movie filming. Check out the Teddy Lavoie Sequence featured on the front page (from september issue). The guys at snowboarder are like extended family, and were always stocked when we get see them. They have been a huge help in getting the EB movie made and promoted. Thanks. Heres more good news, as of 10/31/08 the FULL Eastern Boarder Movie has been download over 1,200 times, Viewed over 6,000 times and continues to climb. It is hosted on shredordie.com, go211.com, mtnops, method.tv, vimeo, youtube and a bunch more. So help out EB and pick a host site and embed the movie into your myspace or facebook. Exclusive Venture Pullovers / NOVEMBER 01 2008 These Venture hoodies are one of a kind, specially made just for easternboarder. Usually exclusive means just the colorway, but this time it is the whole piece. No other skateshop has any venture hoodies, they just dont make them. When you live in a place you need to skate in a hoodie 3/4 of the year hoodies are mandatory. We pretty excited that Venture exclusively made EB a limited run of these to kick off the frost season. The Contest Formerly Know As / NOVEMBER 29 2008 LINCOLN, NH – Loon Mountain is calling riders to break out their gear and show some early season skills. “The Event Formerly Known As…” is an under-the-lights rail jam open to male and female riders of all ages and ability levels, with a $200 cash prize awarded to the top male and female in each competition. Riders Will compete on the 29th. Registration will run from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Octagon Lodge both days, with a $15 entry fee per competitor. All competitors must sign a release form; anyone under 18 must have parent’s signature. Immediately following the contests, awards will be given out in the Bunyan Room. Loon’s park and event crew will host the awards with free pizza and a raffle featuring prizes from Oakley, Four Square, White Flag, and Sweet Time Clothing. SNOW
